Every technique of a martial art must be in accord with the truth of the universe. - Ueshiba Morihei

The Augusta Aikido Club has been in operation since 1989. Our first classes were held at the Westside YMCA on Wheeler Road, the facility that is now the home of the Wilson Family YMCA. In 1992 we moved to the YWCA a few blocks east on Wheeler Road. When the YWCA was closed in 2004 we moved to the Synergy Center on Central Avenue. When that facility closed in 2005 we moved a few blocks north to our current home at Adas Yeshurun Synagogue.

Dojo Location
Classes are held at Adas Yeshurun Synagogue, 935 Johns Road in Augusta. Click here for a map from MapQuest showing the location of the synagogue, or here for a map from Google Maps. (The map will open in a new tab or window.)

Parking is at the rear of the building. Enter through the rightmost door as you face the rear of the building. Classes are held in the classrooms at the front of the building. When you enter the building, proceed to the end of the hallway and turn left. The classrooms are through the second and third doors on the right after the left turn. The building may not be open until approximately ten minutes before the scheduled class times shown below.

Please note: Club activities at the synagogue are limited to the hours shown below. Synagogue personnel have only limited information about our program. If you are interested, please contact the club directly (there is an e-mail link at the bottom of the page) or visit us during a scheduled class.

Because of synagogue security concerns it is no longer possible to leave the building unlocked during our classes; if you wish to visit a class, use the button to the left of the door to request entrance.
